THE EFFECT: This mind boggling illusion created a sensation on a
recent national TV special. This totally impromptu routine is easy to do
and uses no props. You ask a spectator to copy your actions. Both of you
place your hands palm down on the table and begin to turn them in an
anticlockwise direction. The spectator is unable to turn his hand more
than part way, but you continue turning your hand in a full circle! One
and a half times! This routine must be seen to be believed. On many
occasions, people have been so shocked - they have actually screamed!
REQUIREMENTS: A top with long-sleeves.
PREPARATION: Put the sweater on!
THE SECRET AND PRESENTATION:
Ask a spectator to do the same thing you do by placing your
1 hand on the ground just like picture 1. (Note: the pictures were
taken showing the arm, but with the real trick YOU DO NOT show the

spectators your arm, it is covered by the sweater). Ok, They should put
their hand like the picture opposite.

PERFORMANCE: With the spectators hand and yours on the ground
(looking like they are in the same position) ask the spectator to
follow you and start to turn your hand towards your body. The
spectator will stop very shortly as they can not move their hand
further than past their body - this is where you shine as your hand
keeps going past you body and all the way round. You can keep
going until you reach where the spectators stopped. One and a half
turns later!
TIPS: When the spectators hand can’t go any further get them to pull
your hand round with theirs this adds to the effect greatly. That way
they can feel a real hand so can’t say it was fake at the end of the
trick. You can also hide a piece of plastic (ie from a bottle of Coke or
Pepsi) up the sleeve of you arm which you can squeeze with the
8 other hand to to create a real nice bone crunching sound! Do not
forget to act as though you are in great pain to heighten the realism!
DON’T FORGET: If you are right handed like me, then just reverse the instructions given for the opposite hand!

Cup Through Table
Effect: A cup or glass vanishes when wrapped in a sheet of paper.
Secret: A piece of paper wrapped around the cup or glass will retain the shape of the cup – even after the
magician has secretly dropped the cup into his lap.
Props: A cup or glass, any small object and a sheet of newspaper or tissue paper.
Preparation: Select a piece of newspaper slightly larger than the cup so that it will cover it completely with
some overlap.
Presentation: Place the cup over any small object and wrap the paper around it. Ask the audience what is
under the cup. Everyone will, of course, suspect that you are about to vanish the object. Lift the paper and
cup to reassure everyone that the object is still on the table. Moving the wrapped cup slightly towards you,
just clear of the table relax your hold so that the cup is allowed to quietly drop into your lap, out of sight of
the audience, of course, whose attention is still focused on the object.The paper will retain the shape of the
cup. When you again place the paper over the object, you must maintain the illusion that you are replacing
both paper and cup. Wave your hand mysteriously over the "cup" and claim that you will make the object
vanish. When you lift the "cup" the object is still there. Remove the object but replace the "cup". Tell the
audience that something must have gone wrong and you are unable to vanish the object, so you have decided
to vanish the cup instead! At that moment dramatically smash your hand down onto the paper which will
flatten, giving the appearance that the "cup" has penetrated the table. Bring the cup from under the table
(removing it from your lap, in one smooth movement) and replace it on the table.

THE EFFECT: A playing card is show both sides, and laid flat in the palm of your hand. Slowly, and at
your command the card begins to rise out of your hand and hovers for a few moments, inches above
your hand before returning back into your palm once more.
YOU WILL NEED:
• Two playing cards (the one you want to float, and any other card with a matching back say a joker)
• Some scissors
• Double sided sticky tape
PREPARATION: (The very best cards for this trick are the Bicycle brand. You can get some from Amazon.com
HERE or Amazon UK HERE) Take the scissors, and with the extra card cut it in half, long ways. Now, on one of
the pieces you just cut trim off the white edges, leaving only the blue (or red) middle part (Pic 1).
Now, cut off a small piece of double sided sticky tape and stick it directly in the middle of this piece,
but ON THE FACE...NOT ON THE BACK! Now, you’re just going to take this sort of half-card piece with
the boarder trimmed off, and stick it to the back of the card you want to float, matching it up as
closely as you can to the design on the back, thus camouflaging the extra piece (Pic 2).
PERFORMANCE: All you have to do to make the card appear to be floating, is as you lay it into your
left palm, lay it face up with the extra piece closest to you. Position it so that, with your fingers slightly
spread, the extra piece is pinched between your forefinger, and the inside of your little finger or ring
finger depending on the size of your hands.
Now, to create the illusion of it floating, all you do as your fingers are spread is bring your fingers back
together slowly. This pushes in on the gimmick, causing the card to rise above your hand a few inches.
Now, to bring it back, simply spread your fingers again (Pic 3).
Simply turn the card over to show that nothing is there (because the gimmick is hidden with the pattern).
TIP: When you perform this effect, the spectators should be looking DOWN on the card, so you might
want to perform this at waist level. This will protect against the audience seeing the gimmick!

FRUIT LOOPS
Effect: The magician lets the spectator choose a card, which is memorized and put back into the deck. The magician then puts the deck back into the card box and slips it into his pocket. He then claps his hands and points to a nearby table where an orange is sitting. He tells the spectator to pick up the orange and peel it.
When the spectator peels the orange, they suddenly find a lemon inside! When they peel the lemon, they find their card rolled up in the middle of it. When the magician pulls out the deck and hands it to the spectator, their card is indeed missing from the deck.
Card Trick:
This trick is a double-whammy. First, purchase two decks that are alike. Cut the top (where the green thing is) off the lemon VERY CAREFULLY. Then insert a pencil into the middle of the lemon. When you pull out the pencil, it should leave enough room for a rolled up playing card (provided you roll it up on it's side instead of lengthwise). Now glue the pap back onto the top of the lemon, doing your best to match the grain.
Now take a larger orange and cut four slits into the bottom of it about halfway up. Carefully take a knife or spoon and separate the meat from the orange peel, doing your best not to tear the peel. When you have the meat out, you should still be able to keep the basic shape of the orange with the peel. Now stick the lemon in and glue the bottom slits of the orange together. In about two hours, the slits won't be quite as noticeable, but you can't wait much longer than that to do the trick or it will turn black around the glue.
Now simply force the card on the spectator and put the deck into your pocket. The extra deck should be in the same pocket (an inside coat pocket is ideal). When the spectator pulls out the card, you pull out the extra deck and let them look for the card. Of course, the card will not be there.
